About Me
Hi, I’m David Timperley, a 27-year-old personal trainer with a passion for helping people build strength, confidence, and healthier lifestyles.
My journey into fitness hasn’t been a straight line. From the age of 16, I practiced martial arts, which not only helped me lose weight but also gave me my first real taste of discipline and self-belief. But when lockdown hit, I struggled with procrastination and self-destructive habits. I lost a lot of weight, my mental and physical health declined, and my confidence sank lower than ever.
At the start of 2023, I made a decision that changed my life—I committed to strength training. What started as a small step quickly grew into a passion. Within months, I began to see changes in both my body and my mindset. The positive changes I experienced were life-changing—improvements in my health, energy, and confidence that I had never felt before. For the first time, I felt truly strong, healthy, and confident. That transformation inspired me to dedicate myself fully to fitness—not just for me, but for others too.
Now, I help people break through their own barriers, just like I did. Whether your goal is to build strength, improve confidence, or simply feel healthier, I’ll guide you with the same mindset and strategies that helped changed my life.
Because I know firsthand: training isn’t just about the body—it’s about building a stronger, more confident version of yourself.
My Coaching Style
If I had to sum up my coaching style in one word, it would be supportive. I know that eating right and making it to the gym multiple times a week isn't easy—I won’t pretend otherwise—but together we can make the process easier, more enjoyable, and therefore sustainable.Training should never feel like punishment. I’m not here to “toughen you up” or force you through workouts you hate just for the sake of discipline. This is personal training, which means it’s personalised for you. If there’s an exercise you don’t enjoy—say, running on a treadmill—we’ll find an alternative that gets you the same results without dreading your sessions.
My goal is simple: to help you fall in love with fitness. When you enjoy the process, it easy to be consistent and it becomes sustainable, and something you’ll actually look forward to.
Life is busy—juggling training, work, and personal responsibilities is tough—but not impossible. Together, we’ll find the best way to reach your goals while keeping a balance. My goal, ultimately is to help you believe in yourself
